Cause : Incorrect back-lash adjustment between the Fan Gear & Pinion Gear for the
Left / Right motion of the gun. Caused stripping of the gears' teeth.
Correction : Following the instructions below, adjust the back-lash of the gears on the gun
1. Remove Side Covers L & R ( 8ea screws secure these ).
2. Remove the Mech Side Cover L & R ( 11ea screws secure these ).
3. Remove the Hide Plate ( 2ea screws secure this ).
4. Loosen ( Do not Remove ) the 2ea Phillips Screws that secure the VR Bracket to allow it to be moved.
Move the bracket to adjust the backlash in a manner that allows the gears to properly mate,
but not tight enough to cause binding. See figure
5. To reassemble, reverse the above steps.
